Hiking the Mon
It is a great time of year for kicking around the leaves while hiking in the Monongahela National Forest. There are many scenic hiking and biking trails in the area that offer views of flowing streams and rivers, impressive waterfalls, and spectacular overlooks of the surrounding mountains.
The Greenbrier River Trail offers many miles of biking or hiking with spectacular views of the Greenbrier River, the surrounding forests, cliff walls, bridges, and tunnels. Remnants of history can be seen along the trail as it passes through areas that once were towns, sawmills, and factories.
