One of our friendly and knowledgeable staff will check you in and show you to your room. We’ll give your bikes a quick check if necessary to make sure they are in order. Those who just can't wait to get in the saddle may head out for a late-afternoon ride. Others may wish to relax in your room or at our pub-style bar before enjoying a delicious meal with a matching wine at the Elk River Inn’s regionally acclaimed restaurant. Saturday After a hearty breakfast we’ll shuttle or ride (your choice) to Back Mountain road and ride approximately 30 miles from Durbin on this winding, hilley, aptly named back road. We’ll meet the shuttle van in Edray. Return to the Inn, clean up and meet in the dining room for a small wine tasting before a culinary demonstration. We’ll taste and pair our findings and choose a wine for the evening’s dinner. Sunday Today we’ll shuttle or ride (again, your choice) to the western end of the Highland Scenic Highway and ride this 23 mile stretch of national scenic byway to US 219, then north 8 miles to Elk River. The warm summer breezes and late wild flowers in early September and fall foliage colors in October will be unbelievable! Meet in the dining room for a small wine tasting before a culinary demonstration. We’ll taste and pair our findings and choose a wine for the evening’s dinner. Monday After a hearty breakfast, we’ll do a short ride then enjoy an outdoor picnic lunch while exchanging tales of the weekend, emails and goodbyes. Register Here
